At least 14 people, including six children, were killed in a Russian missile attack on a residential area in Kryvyi Rih.
At least 50 other people were injured, local officials said.
The number of victims and injured is constantly increasing, regional administration head Serhiy Lysak wrote on social media.
According to Lysak, the attack caused damage to high-rise buildings and set fires in the city. Vehicles and other objects also burned.
Russia is killing people every day, it does not want a ceasefire, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized in a comment. The search for survivors and victims in the rubble of five hit houses continues.
All the victims are civilians, Zelenskyy warned, releasing images documenting the damage. He stressed that such attacks can only be ended by putting enough pressure on Russia to force it to renounce war.
He also pointed out the need to strengthen Ukraine's air defense against Russian terror.
Industrial Kryvyi Rih is Zelensky's hometown and is a frequent target of Russian air strikes. Russian missiles hit the city two days ago, killing at least four people and wounding 14 others, including two children.
Eight apartment buildings were damaged, and power lines were cut, causing a power outage for approximately 2,000 customers.
Kryvyi Rih lies dozens of kilometers northwest of the front line. Before the war, it was home to over 600,000 people. (ČTK)
