Mexico City. So far, 10 people have died as a result of the explosion of a gas pipeline on the La Concordia Bridge in Iztapalapa, according to the Mexico City Government.

Capital authorities reported that 54 people remain hospitalized in different hospitals and that 22 have already been discharged.

Meanwhile, the head of government, Clara Brugada, visited the Rubén Leñero Hospital and the Magdalena de las Salinas Hospital to visit the affected people and their families.

Through the social network X, Brugada published photographs of his visit and wrote:

"We continue to wholeheartedly embrace the families going through this painful time.

We are saddened by what happened and reiterate our commitment to accompany them and provide support for as long as necessary."
