On behalf of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Oman's Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs, Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, will head to Qatar tomorrow, Monday, to head the Sultanate of Oman's delegation participating in the emergency Arab-Islamic summit scheduled to be held in the capital, Doha.

According to the Oman News Agency, the accompanying official delegation includes: Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sultan bin Salem Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Saidi, Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs; Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information; and Ambassador Sayyid Ammar bin Abdullah Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Qatar.

Qatar is hosting a summit of Arab and Islamic countries on Monday to express its rejection of the Israeli attack targeting Hamas leaders in the Qatari capital and its solidarity with Doha, a Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman confirmed Saturday.

Spokesman Majid bin Mohammed Al Ansari said that this emergency summit will discuss a draft statement on the Israeli attack on Qatar, submitted by the preparatory meeting of Arab and Islamic foreign ministers, which is being held on Sunday.

Al-Ansari affirmed, in a statement to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), that the convening of the summit reflects the broad Arab and Islamic solidarity with the State of Qatar in confronting the cowardly Israeli aggression that targeted the residential headquarters of several Hamas leaders, and the categorical rejection of these countries of the state terrorism practiced by Israel.
