President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles will meet with 13 Spanish defense and technology companies, writes Bloomberg.
The aim of the meeting is reportedly to"demonstrate the full potential of Spain's defense industry." Among the companies will be Indra Sistemas SA, the country's largest defense contractor. Smaller manufacturers will also be represented.
The publication notes that Zelensky's visit comes at a time when Kyiv is trying to strengthen support for Europe against the backdrop of the Russian offensive. The Ukrainian president has previously stated that Ukraine's priorities are to provide air defense systems and missiles. He also said that the visit to Spain has been"a long time in the making."
Journalists recall that last month, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez confirmed Madrid's participation in the PURL program - Ukraine's Priority Needs List. Zelensky and Sanchez are scheduled to meet on Tuesday afternoon as part of the program, which also includes meetings with King Felipe VI and visits to political and cultural institutions.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited France, where he met with President Emmanuel Macron.
