Russian invaders continue to suffer losses in the battles for the city Pokrovsk. The military units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine have been reinforced. As stated in the message of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Telegram, the defense of the Pokrovsko-Mirnograd agglomeration continues.

"There is no encirclement of our units and units," the message emphasizes.

As noted in the General Staff, measures are being taken to block the enemy, who are trying to infiltrate and accumulate in the city, and active countermeasures are being taken against attempts by enemy infantry groups to gain a foothold.

"In Pokrovsk, the Defense Forces of Ukraine are carrying out strike and search operations. In particular, assault units of the 425th Special Operations Command, SBS operators, combined groups of the Special Operations Command, the Special Operations Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard and the Special Operations Command of the Ministry of Defense have been involved. The military units defending the city have been reinforced," the General Staff said.

Russian losses

Over the past 24 hours alone, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated 26 occupiers in the Pokrovsk area, and another 64 invaders were wounded:

"58 enemy infantry shelters in the city and its surroundings were destroyed or damaged."

"In total, since the beginning of the week, the losses of Russian troops in the Pokrovsky direction amounted to: 249 occupiers (of which 159 were irretrievable), 7 UAV control points, 26 units of automobile and motorcycle equipment, a tank and an armored combat vehicle," the General Staff reported.

At the same time, it was said that work is underway to strengthen the defense flanks of the Pokrovsko-Mirnograd agglomeration, and to secure and protect logistics routes.

Dobropil direction

At the same time, according to the General Staff, the Dobropil operation is ongoing.

"Over the past day, Ukrainian assault units advanced from 100 m to 700 m in certain directions. In total, during the operation, as of November 5, 2025, 188.9 km² were liberated, and 249.9 km² were cleared of enemy DRGs," the General Staff emphasized.

Analysts from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) claim that the latest successes of the Russian invaders in Pokrovsk were the culmination of a 21-month campaign to capture the city, during which the occupiers managed to advance 39 kilometers from Avdiivka.
