U-17 World Cup Qualification Overview

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia --

England U-17 secured their place in the last 32 of the 2025 U-17 World Cup after beating Egypt 3-0 in their final Group E match at Field 7 Aspire Zone, Monday (10/11).

The match against Egypt is crucial for England as it will determine whether they will qualify directly for the knockout stages of this tournament or not.

The Young Lions finally opened a 1-0 lead over Egypt in the 14th minute through a goal from Premier League legend Emile Heskey's son, Reigan Heskey.

Heskey doubled England's lead to 2-0 over Egypt in the second half, precisely in the 56th minute after receiving an assist from Luca Williams-Barnet.

England's 3-0 victory over Egypt was sealed by substitute Harrison Miles in the 90th minute.

By winning three points in their final group match, England secured their place in the last 32 of the 2025 U-17 World Cup.

Neil Ryan's team finished second in Group E behind Venezuela, who secured 7 points after defeating Haiti 4-2.

Haiti's winning goals came from Diego Claut, John Mancilla, and two goals from David Garcia. Da Benz Jacquet and Woodson Felix scored in response.

Meanwhile, despite losing to England, Egypt is guaranteed to advance to the next round through the best third-place finisher. Haiti, meanwhile, is eliminated from the 2025 U-17 World Cup after going pointless in three matches.
