- Two West Virginia members of the National Guard have been shot in Washington, D.C. and are in critical condition in hospital, according to FBI director Kash Patel.
- West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey said this afternoon that the officers had died, but later said he couldn’t be sure.
- Officers from local police to the Secret Service were on scene at 17 and I streets, close to the White House.
- A witness told CBC News they heard multiple shots, then saw people running before police arrived on scene.
- At least one person had been taken into custody.
