Nabil Baha's men officially qualified on Monday, November 10, for the round of 32 of the U17 World Cup, Qatar 2025, after Mexico's defeat against Switzerland (3-1).
With three points and a goal difference of +8, Morocco thus secures its ticket to the next round.
Furthermore, the Atlas Lions had lost their first two matches in the competition against Japan (2-0) and then against Portugal (6-0), before cruising against New Caledonia (16-0).
The Atlas Lions have thus broken the record held by Spain, who won (13-0) against New Zealand at the World Cup held in 1997 in Egypt.
In this resounding victory, Bilal Soukrat and Oualid Ibn Salah each scored a quickfire brace (11th, 18th minutes), as did Abdelali Daoudi (41st, 42nd minutes). Ilyas Hidaoui, Ziyad Baha (45+2nd minute), Zakaria El Khalfioui, Nahel Haddani, and Abdellah Ouazane (73rd, 90+2nd minutes) also contributed to the attacking display. Steevy Andrew even put the ball into his own net (75th minute), while Ismail El Aoud scored the final goal in the 90th minute.

The round of 32 will be played on Friday, November 14th and Saturday, November 15th.
For now, Morocco's opponent in the next round is not yet known, pending the completion of the third day's matches.
