In the declaration, which Berlin said was adopted at the initiative of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, the three heads of government reaffirmed their commitment to peace and stability for all countries in the region and their support for Israel's security. They have always made it clear that Iran must never acquire nuclear weapons. Iran must no longer pose a threat to regional security.

"We call on Iran to begin negotiations on an agreement that resolves all concerns about its nuclear program. We are ready to contribute to this goal in coordination with all sides," the statement said."We urge Iran not to take further measures that could destabilize the region." Merz, Macron, and Starmer announced that they would continue their joint diplomatic efforts.

UN Security Council meets

The UN Security Council will convene for an emergency meeting on Sunday. According to Guyana, which holds the monthly rotating presidency of the New York-based council in June, the meeting has been scheduled for 3:00 p.m. local time (9:00 p.m. CEST). This will be the third session of the UN body since the Israeli attacks on Iran began on June 13.

An emergency meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors will take place in Vienna on Monday. The situation in Iran requires this, explained Rafael Grossi, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), on"X."

Enriched uranium remains intact after US attacks

According to Iranian sources, the enriched uranium remains intact."Even if nuclear facilities are destroyed, the game is not over; enriched material, domestic knowledge, and political will remain," Ali Shamkhani, an advisor to Iran's supreme cleric Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, told the online service X.

"The political and operational initiative now lies with the side that acts wisely and avoids blind attacks. There will be more surprises!" announced the Ayatollah's advisor.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian took part in a demonstration against the US attacks in Tehran, denouncing US intervention in the conflict between Israel and Iran."Revenge, revenge!" the demonstrators shouted with raised fists, as seen on state television, as the Iranian president tried to push his way through the crowd into the central Enqelab Square.
