Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya told Euronews that her country could be used as a springboard for attacking and invading the Baltic states, but the Belarusian people will not go to war with their neighbors.

Tsikhanouskaya noted that the large-scale joint Russian-Belarusian military exercises to be held in the fall could indeed pose a threat to NATO's eastern flank."Don't forget that the last military exercises in Belarus ended with an attack on Ukraine," she said, referring to the Zapad 2021 maneuvers.

In 2022, Russia used Belarus as a springboard for its attacks and full-scale invasion of Ukraine. However, Moscow did not include the Belarusian people in the attack, S. Tsikhanouskaya noted, adding that Belarusians will not stand against the Baltic states.

"They may be forced, but that doesn't mean they will fight there. I hope people will rather run or switch sides, but not fight Lithuanians or Poles, especially knowing how much these countries support us," she said.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga warned that Russia is accumulating strategic reserves not only for war with Ukraine.

He stated this at the GLOBSEC-2025 forum in Prague, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Telegram, UNIAN reports.

"According to our intelligence, Russia has begun to prepare strategic reserves, which means plans for combat operations not only in Ukraine. Allies need a full diplomatic mobilization to stop this war. This is not just a Ukrainian matter," the Ukrainian minister noted.

He added that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin understands only force, so it is now important to apply sanctions in a timely manner and use them as an economic weapon against the Russian Federation. In this regard, A. Sibiga called for reducing the upper limit of the Russian oil price to 30 US dollars.
