The Ukrainian president said in an address published on Friday that Ukraine risks losing the support of its main ally, Washington.

"Ukraine is currently under enormous pressure," said Zelensky.

"Ukraine may now face a very difficult choice: either to lose its dignity, or to risk losing its main partner. Either 28 difficult points, or an extremely difficult winter, the most difficult, and further risks. Life without freedom, dignity and justice, and to trust the one who has already attacked us twice," the Ukrainian president said.

In a 10-minute speech, Zelensky promised that he would not betray Ukraine's interests when considering the US-proposed peace plan. He said Ukraine would cooperate with the US and all its other partners.

"I will convince them, I will offer alternatives, but we will definitely not give the enemy any reason to say that Ukraine does not want peace," Zelensky said in the address.

According to V. Zelensky, next week will be very difficult.

"You [Ukrainians] are mature, intelligent and honest people who have repeatedly proven this and who understand that at this time we will be under great pressure - political, informational and otherwise - in order to weaken and divide us. The enemy has woken up and will do everything to prevent us from succeeding. Will we allow him to do this? We have no right. And we will succeed," said V. Zelensky.

Recalling the beginning of the large-scale war in Ukraine, V. Zelensky emphasized that"we did not betray Ukraine then, and we will not betray it now."

Reuters reported earlier on Friday that the United States is threatening to cut off arms supplies to Ukraine if it does not agree to a "peace plan" proposed by the Donald Trump administration. The sources said the United States could also limit intelligence sharing. Ukraine is reportedly under pressure to agree to the US plan by Thursday.

Foreign media also report that Zelensky spoke by phone with US Vice President J.D. Vance on Friday, but no further details of the conversation are available yet.
