The new underground parking garage in Casablanca's city center is about to open. The infrastructure, currently in its final stages of completion, will expand the metropolis's underground parking network."This project complements Casablanca's existing network of underground parking facilities. The city center will now offer 1,600 parking spaces," explains Chada Taieb, communications director for the local development company Casa Transports.

Located around the main thoroughfares and iconic squares—United Nations Square, Rachidi Square, Avenue des FAR, and Boulevard Brahim Roudani—the project mobilized a total budget of 156 million dirhams for the construction of the parking garage. Featuring two underground levels, it offers a capacity of 703 spaces, 20 of which are equipped with charging stations for electric vehicles. The site also includes spaces reserved for two-wheeled vehicles, a car wash, and four elevators facilitating access for people with reduced mobility.

To ensure user safety, 107 surveillance cameras, linked in real time to the control center, have been installed. Above ground, a 4.5-hectare green space has been created, revitalizing the urban environment.

The construction of this underground parking lot required 12 months of work and an investment of 156 million dirhams for the underground structure and 41 million for the development of the surface and green spaces.
