At the bilateral level, relations between the Spanish National Police and the General Directorate of National Security are excellent in the fight against terrorism, organized crime, and human trafficking networks, declared the Director General of the Spanish National Police, Francisco Pardo Piqueras, following his talks with the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi. This took place on the sidelines of the 93rd session of the Interpol General Assembly.

We are very satisfied with the cooperation we maintain in the area of security, he said, stressing the importance of intensifying the exchange of information, conducting joint operations and fighting organized crime and terrorism ever more effectively.

Addressing the risks to ensure the security of both countries requires a joint effort based on two fundamental principles, respect and trust, the Spanish official noted.

Furthermore, Francisco Pardo Piqueras praised the magnificent organization in Morocco of Interpol’s supreme governing body (November 24-27), which will have very positive effects on the joint effort to combat global security risks.
