For the smooth running of the Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026, in six cities and nine stadiums, Morocco will need 4,000 volunteers to oversee the various organizational aspects of the tournament: media activities, accreditations, welcoming and assisting supporters, as well as other areas related to the event.

Training in various fields is therefore necessary for them, and this is what the Morocco 2030 Foundation is working on by initiating a training program for them. In Rabat, the training course took place at the Hay Ryad Specialized Institute of Applied Technology, where Aïcha El Ouah, a communication trainer, teaches courses on improving the linguistic and communication skills of volunteers once they are immersed in the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). These courses are particularly important for participants who will be taking on roles involving direct contact with a public composed of different nationalities. This training will help them better understand the cultural diversity that exists on the African continent.

This training, the teacher continues, also allows them to learn how to prioritize, to distinguish urgent tasks from those that can be postponed. They must also identify those that they absolutely must not neglect.

Another objective, and not the least important, added Aïcha El Ouah, is to give a positive image of Morocco, rich in its centuries-old heritage such as gastronomy and crafts.

Hiba Chafiq, one of the interns, said she was convinced that Morocco would ensure excellent organization. The young woman expressed her hope that our national team would reach the final and win the AFCON, God willing.

Officially established by a text published in the Official Bulletin on August 7, 2025, the Morocco 2030 Foundation is the Kingdom's strategic tool for organizing the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup. Based in Rabat and endowed with financial autonomy, this non-profit institution's main mission is to plan and orchestrate the major football competitions hosted by the Kingdom.

The Foundation will work closely with the relevant administrations and provide direct support to host cities and regions, so that each event meets the standards set by FIFA and CAF.

The training of these young volunteers also aims to provide the Morocco 2030 Foundation with a pool of personnel who will also be mobilized during the 2030 FIFA World Cup organized in partnership with Spain and Portugal.
