A French national of Algerian origin was arrested this Saturday, October 25, by elements of the National Security Service at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca.

A search of the suspect in the Interpol database revealed that he was wanted internationally on the basis of a red notice issued by the National Central Bureau in Paris for his alleged involvement in a case related to membership in a criminal organization and the illegal possession of explosive substances.

He was taken into custody as part of the extradition proceedings, in accordance with the instructions of the competent public prosecutor's office. At the same time, the Interpol National Central Bureau in Rabat, part of the National Security Directorate General, was instructed to inform its counterpart in France of this arrest.
