Manchester City achieved a great victory at the Bernabeu over Real Madrid 2-1, for the sixth matchday of the League Phase of the Champions League, with the English team reaching 13 points and the queen remaining at 12.

The visitors' victory puts Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso in an even more difficult position, as after today's defeat, the Spanish coach's removal from the Queen's bench is very likely.

Real Madrid managed to open the scoring in the 28th minute, with Rodrygo scoring an excellent goal on a Madrid counterattack.

The Queen's players found an open field and with a perfect counterattack started by Carreras, they brought the Brazilian into a shooting position, after Bellingham's excellent pass.

Rodrygo made the perfect pass from a difficult position, sending the ball into Donnarumma's net for 1-0.

City's turnaround

However, Manchester City had the answers to the Spanish team's goal and the visitors managed to take advantage of two mistakes by the home team.

In the 35th minute, O'Reilly didn't say no to Courtois's shaky save and with a close-range shot made it 1-1 for the English team.

A few minutes later, Pep Guardiola's team made the comeback, as Haaland won a penalty after a foul by Ruttinger.

The penalty was awarded by Turpin after a VAR intervention and the Norwegian striker executed it accurately, making it 1-2 for City at the Bernabeu.

It should be noted that the visitors had a great chance to score a third goal in the first half stoppage time, but Courtois made two great saves on strong passes from Haaland and Sergi.

The second half passed with Manchester City having the most chances and the truth is that Courtois made many impressive saves.

The Queen's Belgian goalkeeper showed in tonight's game why he is one of the top goalkeepers in the world, as there were moments when he brought down the curtains against City players.

The efforts of Haaland, Sergi, Doku and Silva to score the visitors' third goal stumbled against the amazing Courtois, who said no to the visitors on many occasions.

Real Madrid also had good chances to equalize, but Bellingham wasted the Queen's chance in the 50th minute, shooting wide from a good position, and in the 80th minute, Vinicius shot wide from a good position.

The Spanish team's biggest chance, however, came in the 85th minute, when Edik headed the ball past the crossbar of City's goal.

Arsenal's ultimate

From there, Arsenal achieved 6/6, defeating Club Brugge 3-0 in Belgium thanks to goals from Mandweke (25', 47') and Martinelli (56'), while Manchester City went through the Santiago Bernabeu with a 2-1 win over Real (28' Rodrigo-35' O'Reilly, 43' pen. Haaland).

Also, Benfica defeated Napoli 2-0, while the matches Athletic Bilbao-Paris Saint-Germain (0-0), Dortmund-Bodo/Glimt (2-2) and Leverkusen-Newcastle (2-2) ended in draws.

Earlier, Copenhagen beat Villarreal 3-2 (Cornelius scored in the 90th minute) and Ajax won in Baku (4-2 against Qarabag with three goals from 79th to 90th minutes).
