Israeli Perspective - Hamas Violated Ceasefire

Israeli Military Actions and Operations

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has held the occupying Israeli regime fully responsible for any deterioration or collapse of a ceasefire agreement in the besieged Gaza Strip.

In a statement released on Sunday, Hamas called upon the mediators and the international community to urgently intervene to stop the aggressive Israeli violations.

The statement further emphasized that the mediators and guarantors had not presented evidence or proof of the resistance movement violating or obstructing its implementation.

"In contrast, the Israeli occupation authorities have deliberately violated the agreement since the very first day of the ceasefire’s entry into force, committing numerous grave crimes and violations against civilians. These breaches have been documented and submitted to the mediators, accompanied by photographs, lists, and conclusive evidence,” Hamas said.

The Palestinian group said that Israeli forces have committed numerous massacres since the ceasefire came into effect 11 days ago.

“Israeli occupying forces deliberately targeted civilians and opened fire on them in areas where movement was permitted, resulting in the martyrdom of 46 people and the injury of 132 others with varying degrees of severity," it added.

Half of the martyrs and wounded were children, women, and the elderly, Hamas noted.

“Among the martyrs was the Abu Shaaban family, which was completely exterminated — seven children and two women," the movement said.

“These deliberate criminal acts constitute a continuation of the policy of aggression and terrorism, and a blatant attempt to undermine and sabotage the agreement.”

The Palestinian group went on to say that the Israeli occupying forces were overstepping the activity beyond the “Yellow Line” defined in the truce agreement.

"Occupation forces continue to maintain fire control over a strip extending along the temporary withdrawal line known as the “Yellow Line,” at distances ranging from 600 to 1,500 meters to the south, east, and north of the Gaza Strip," it said.

"The targeted area covers approximately 45 square kilometers — a flagrant breach of the temporary withdrawal line — while military incursions into this strip persist.”

Hamas stated that Israeli forces were preventing civilians from returning to their homes “through artillery shelling, the use of quadcopter drones, and gunfire from military vehicles and surveillance cranes."

The resistance movement noted that the deal stipulates the entry of humanitarian and food aid in large and sufficient quantities in accordance with the January 19, 2025, understandings.

"The agreement provides for the reoperation of the power plant and the repair of vital facilities, sewage lines, and hospitals. However, the occupation regime continues to prevent the entry of necessary supplies."

Elsewhere in the statement, Hamas said that many of the 150 bodies of Palestinians returned to Gaza by Israeli authorities under the ceasefire agreement exhibited clear signs of torture and execution, or having been run over by tanks.

“What has occurred constitutes a fully-fledged war crime and a crime against humanity that demands international accountability and prosecution,” it said.

Hamas signed the agreement concluded in Sharm el-Sheikh on October 9, 2025, which stipulates the commitment of both parties to all articles, annexes, and mechanisms contained therein.

In the most recent incidents of violation, the Israeli regime launched airstrikes on the southern city of Rafah and central Gaza in violation of the ceasefire agreement with Hamas.

The Gaza Government Media Office said that it had counted almost 50 Israeli violations of the peace deal, resulting in over four dozen Palestinian deaths and 143 injuries since the ceasefire took hold.

It called Israel’s actions “flagrant and clear violations of the ceasefire decision and the rules of international humanitarian law.”
