US Presidential Special Envoy Steven Witkoff and Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund and special representative of the Russian President, had lunch before talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, TASS reports.

The dinner ceremony took place at one of the Moscow restaurants that received a Michelin star in 2022.

In August of this year, the US leader's special envoy already flew to the Russian capital. Then, before talks in the Kremlin, the diplomat tried a La Grande cheburek for breakfast.

On December 2, on the eve of Whitkoff's visit to Moscow, Dmitriev emphasized the significance of this date for the peace process in Ukraine. He emphasized that the delegation that secured President [US Donald] Trump's peace agreement on Gaza would visit Russia.
