KOMPAS.com - A fire broke out at the Terra Drone office on Jalan Letjen Suprapto, Cempaka Baru, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (9/2/2025) afternoon.

According to a report by Kompas.com, Tuesday (9/12/2025), a crowd of residents was seen filling the area in front of the sixth floor of the building.

Meanwhile, traffic flow at the location was congested due to the large number of residents, fire trucks and ambulances lined up on the side of the road.

According to the official report of the DKI Jakarta Fire Department, the fire started at around 12.40 WIB. Shortly thereafter, the Fire Department team arrived at the location at 12.50 WIB and immediately began extinguishing efforts.

The fire at the Terra Drone Office, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (9/12/2025), was preceded by a sudden power outage followed by screams for help from inside the building.

"Suddenly the lights went out, then lots of people shouted 'help, help'," said Ani (53), an eye witness at the location as quoted by Kompas.com, Tuesday (9/12/2025).

Shortly after, thick smoke was seen billowing from inside the building before the fire grew and caused panic among residents.

The incident that afternoon triggered a long traffic jam because residents gathered and fire trucks and ambulances filled Jalan Letjen Suprapto.

Based on data from the Jakarta Fire Department, the fire was first discovered at around 12:40 WIB, with the first team arriving ten minutes later.

A total of 28 fire engines and 101 personnel were deployed to tame the fire, which was only declared extinguished at 14.32 WIB.

2. The number of victims of the Terra Drone office fire reached 22 people.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Susatyo Purnomo Condro, revealed that a total of 22 people died in the fire that engulfed the PT Terra Drone building on Jalan Letjen Suprapto, Cempaka Baru, Kemayoran.
