Hamas/Palestinian Perspective - Israel Violated Ceasefire

Israeli occupation forces have launched a “massive wave” of airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military said, in major violations of a ceasefire brokered by US President Donald Trump.

The Israeli military said on Sunday that it is conducting a “massive and extensive wave” of strikes on dozens of targets across the territory, accusing Hamas of having attacked its forces in Rafah.

The strikes, it claimed, are aimed at “terror targets” of Hamas.

Hamas denied involvement in any attacks and reaffirmed its “full commitment” to the ceasefire.

According to local hospital sources, at least five Palestinians were killed in the regime’s attacks on central Gaza, while two were killed and many others were wounded in strikes in the north.

A source at Nasser Hospital reported that one person was killed and several were injured when Israeli jets targeted a tent housing displaced people in the al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.

Two more Palestinians, including a journalist, were killed in an airstrike on a building housing media staff in az-Zawayda, central Gaza, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital said.

The total number of Palestinians killed in Sunday’s wave of Israeli attacks has risen to 15, with dozens more reported injured.

Humanitarian groups expressed concern that the latest attacks would exacerbate civilian suffering in Gaza, where hospitals, shelters, and schools are still struggling to recover from two years of destruction and blockade.

Trump pushed for a ceasefire deal as part of a US-led diplomatic effort, engaging regional powers and both parties to halt hostilities and allow humanitarian aid into Gaza. However, Trump's 20-point Gaza deal has been fragile from the start.

According to Gaza authorities, Israel has already violated the agreement 47 times, killing dozens of Palestinians.
