"The possible delivery of tomahawk missiles to Ukraine is an attempt to escalate tensions. Russia's response to tomahawk attacks on Russian territory would be serious, if not stunning," the Russian president said, RIA Novosti reports.
Putin told those who would like to send Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine to"think about it".
Previously, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte supported the decision of the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, not to deliver Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine in the conflict with Russia, assessing that Trump was"absolutely right" due to the complexity and long-term training required to use these weapons.
After a meeting with Trump at the White House, Rutte told CNN that it takes many months to train Ukrainian forces on this powerful weapon and that it is not possible to deploy the delivered missiles immediately.
