Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman spoke by phone Sunday with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip and broader efforts to advance Middle East peace, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.
According to SPA, the two leaders “reviewed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the efforts being made to end the war in the strip and enhance security and stability in the Middle East.”
They “emphasized the necessity of immediately alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people and achieving a complete Israeli withdrawal,” SPA reported.
They also agreed on the importance of taking practical steps toward a “just peace” based on a two-state solution.
The call also covered ongoing Saudi-French cooperation across multiple fields and other issues of mutual interest, SPA said.
