Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman departed for the United States on Monday for an official working visit during which he will meet with US President Donald Trump, the Saudi Royal Court announced.

In a statement carried by the official Saudi Press Agency, the Royal Court said the Crown Prince is traveling to the US on the directives of King Salman and in response to an invitation from President Trump.

During the visit, Prince Mohammed and Trump will discuss bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them across various fields, as well as review a range of issues of mutual interest, the Royal Court added.
