This weekend, Iran's ballistic missiles hit Haifa without the Iron Dome air defense shield reacting.

The Israeli army claimed that the sirens were faulty, but now they are changing their story, writes the Jerusalem Post.

According to the IDF, it was due to a technical fault in the radar that did not intercept the rocket.

Israel states that it has shot down between 80 and 95 percent of Iranian ballistic missiles since June 13.

At the same time, 24 people are reported to have been killed and 1,250 people injured.

New explosions

On Monday morning, air raid warnings were issued across Israel.

"The defense is not completely tight, so it is important to continue to follow the instructions of the Home Guard Command," the Air Force writes in a statement.

Explosions have been heard in Haifa and Krayot, according to Channel 14 reporter Boaz Golan.

Meanwhile, reports are coming in that Iran has targeted Israel's energy facility in Ashdod. Rescue workers are on their way to the scene, according to the IDF.

According to Israel's Energy Authority, the plant has been damaged and caused power outages in several places in the country.

Israel: Fifteen attacks

Israel's defense ministry said that around fifteen ballistic missiles were fired at Israel.

The attack lasted for 40 minutes.

No injuries have been reported.

However, Iran says it fired a total of 21 rounds of rockets, according to Iranian media.

The Iranian defense ministry says it has carried out the"21st wave" of Operation "Truth Promise 3" against military targets in Haifa and Tel Aviv, among others.

At the same time, several explosions have been heard in Iran's capital, Tehran, according to Iranian media.

CNN's team on the scene reports that northwest Tehran is covered in black smoke after several powerful explosions.
