Following the White House's announcement that US President Donald Trump will withdraw from the Group of Seven Summit tonight, President Claudia Sheinbaum will maintain her agenda of activities at this top-level meeting.

What will Sheinbaum's agenda be?

The Social Communication Coordination of the Presidency of the Republic announced that the Mexican president will hold three bilateral meetings with heads of state at this summit this Tuesday.

Sheinbaum's participation in the G7 will begin with the official summit photo at 11:20 a.m. She will then hold a trilateral meeting with the European Council and the European Commission, while from 12:20 to 12:50 p.m. she will meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

At 1:00 p.m., he will participate in the Group of Seven plenary session. Afterward, he will meet with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. At 5:40 p.m., he will meet for half an hour with the host, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, thus concluding his participation in the G7.

Why will Trump leave the G7?

US President Donald Trump decided to leave the G7 Summit one day before its conclusion due to the armed conflict between Israel and Iran, which entered its fourth day of clashes on Monday.

White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt announced Trump's decision on social media.

"President Trump had a great day at the G7, even signing a major trade deal with the UK and Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
"Much has been accomplished, but because of what's happening in the Middle East, President Trump will be leaving tonight after the dinner with the heads of state," Leavitt said.

During the day, Trump had repeatedly referred to the growing conflict between Israel and Iran.

The US president confirmed that the Iranian regime has expressed, through intermediaries, its willingness to de-escalate the conflict with Israel, which entered its fourth day on Monday and has already left hundreds dead in both countries.

"They have to reach an agreement and it is painful for both sides, but I would say that Iran is not winning this war and they should talk immediately before it is too late," he said, adding that"Israel is doing very well."

What meetings were canceled after Trump's departure?

The US president's decision means he will not meet with some international leaders as planned.

The Republican is expected to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba to continue negotiations on tariffs on Japanese cars.

In addition, with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, he was scheduled to discuss issues such as the AUKUS pact, trade tariffs and defense.

With President Claudia Sheinbaum he would hold his first meeting to discuss remittances, migration and trade, in a trilateral format with Canada.

Meanwhile, he had a meeting scheduled with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss the acquisition of a military defense package. He also had talks with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on EU-EU relations, including the issue of tariffs.
