Morrissey said both soldiers, who were members of the West Virginia National Guard , died from their injuries.

Murder at the White House

Washington, D.C. police said the suspect who shot two National Guard members outside the White House has been taken into custody and the area has been secured.

According to the information published by the Daily Mail, due to this shooting there was a complete blockade of the streets in front of the White House.

On social networks, several journalists reporting from  White House  confirmed that there was an incident, that is, a  shooting.

Shooting in Washington

After the first information from the scene, new ones soon arrived that contradict what the governor of the American state, Patrick Morrissey, revealed to the public.

Two members of the National Guard who were shot today in front of the White House are still alive, but in critical condition, Washington Police Chief Jeff Carroll said at a press conference.

At the same time, Morrissey said on his X Network account that he had received"conflicting reports" about the condition of two National Guard members.

"We are now receiving conflicting reports on the condition of two members of our Guard and will provide additional information when we have more complete information," he wrote.
