Police say a fire broke out in a seven-story office building in Jakarta, the Indonesian capital, on the 9th, killing at least 22 people.
According to AFP, police said the fire started when batteries exploded on the first floor and quickly spread to the upper floors before being extinguished.

Central Jakarta Police Chief Susatyo Purnomo Condro told the media,"The death toll is 22." This number is higher than the previously reported 17.
He said that most of the victims were women, including one pregnant woman.
But the death toll could rise as rescuers continue to search for any remaining survivors or other victims.
Susatiyo said firefighters are currently focused on cooling down the site and clearing thick smoke from some floors.
He said,"We will resume the search once the situation on site stabilizes."
Susatiyo stated that most of the victims did not have obvious burns, suggesting they may have died from asphyxiation due to smoke inhalation. He added that the victims' bodies had been sent to the police hospital for autopsies.
AFP footage from the scene showed the building's exterior walls blackened by fire and some windows broken. The building was the office of an agricultural drone service company.
