As a result of a strike from Ukraine on critical infrastructure facilities in the Zaporizhzhia region, a substation at the Vasilyevskaya RES was damaged, the region's governor, Yevhen Balitsky, reported on his Telegram channel.
Emergency restoration work will be carried out in the region following the incident. According to Balitsky, some customers in the villages of Malaya and Velikaya Belozerka, Orlyanskoye, Vidnozhino, and Yasnaya Polyana will be disconnected during this time. In total, the outage will affect approximately 5,000 residents.
On the evening of November 14, the governor warned of a possible power outage in settlements south of Dniprorudne, Malaya, and Velyka Belozerka. Five emergency response teams were working on the situation following the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
On November 1, the northern regions of the Zaporizhia region were left without electricity due to strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Balitsky reported. At that time, Ukrainian forces also attacked energy infrastructure facilities in the region.
