Gergely Gulyás began the Government News by saying that the government held a full-day meeting yesterday, discussed numerous matters, and made decisions. Everyone will receive the forms for the national consultation this week, which primarily deals with taxation issues and provides an opportunity to begin a clear debate on whether it is worth returning to a multi-rate tax and whether it makes sense to increase taxes in Hungary.
According to the government, the current system has worked and should be maintained. The minister pointed out that tax increases would be necessary to finance the war, but both the war and the tax increases should be rejected. The most important thing for the Hungarian economy is that the war ends.
The national consultation will run until November 30.
