The Sydney Swans have turned up to pay their respects at the floral memorial at Bondi Beach.

The team was seen gathered in their distinctive red shirts among the crowds.The club issued a statement yesterday.

"Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those who lost their lives or suffered injuries or trauma from the events that unfolded," the statement said.

"Bondi Beach is synonymous with the Sydney Swans, and our city more broadly. It is ordinarily a place of joy and connection.
