In ballistic missile attacks launched by Iranian forces on the city of Ramat Gan in the Tel Aviv region of Israel, as well as the cities of Holon and Beersheva, 240 people were injured, 4 of them seriously. Iranian ballistic missiles hit the stock exchange building in Ramat Gan and the Soroka Hospital in Beersheva.

‘KHAMENEI CANNOT CONTINUE TO EXIST’

The attack on the hospital in particular drew a great reaction in Israel. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz made statements to members of the press in the city of Holon, which was the target of the Iranian attack. He said that Iranian religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei should be held responsible for the attacks carried out by Iran with ballistic missiles on the stock exchange building in Ramat Gan and the Soroka Hospital in Beersheba. Noting that Khamenei had ordered the Iranian army to “intensify” the attacks, Katz said, “These are the most serious war crimes and Khamenei will be held accountable for his actions.” The Israeli minister said, “Khamenei has openly said that he wants to destroy Israel. He has given orders for the hospitals to be hit. (Khamenei) sees the destruction of Israel as a goal. Such a person cannot be allowed to continue to exist.” The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, on the other hand, claimed that the military command and intelligence center near the hospital was targeted and hit in the attack.

THERE ARE NO HOSPITALS LEFT IN GAZA!

Katz’s characterization of the attack on the hospital as a war crime brought to the agenda the hospital attacks carried out by Israel in Gaza. Indeed, the Israeli army, which has attacked many hospitals in Gaza with the pretext of targeting Hamas members and infrastructure, has left almost no hospitals in the region in working order. As of October 7, 2023, very few of the 36 hospitals in Gaza continue to operate partially under difficult conditions.

Hospitals hit in Gaza since October 7, 2023:

* Al Ahli

* Al Aqsa Martyrs

* Indonesia Hospital* Al Awda

* European Hospital* Kuwait Hospital

* Al Emirati

Number of hospitals hit in Gaza: 19

Health workers killed in Gaza: 1000
