KOMPAS.com - Matchday 10 of the 2026 World Cup Qualification European zone has completed three groups and confirmed two representatives in next year's final round.

Eight European zone 2026 World Cup Qualification matches will be held on Sunday (16/11/2025) evening WIB until Monday (17/11/2025) early morning WIB.

As a result, two countries, namely Portugal and Norway, confirmed their qualification for the 2026 World Cup, following Croatia, England and France.

Meanwhile, Italy, who lost 1-4 against Norway, must be ready to fight hard in the playoff round to win a ticket to the 2026 World Cup.

Ireland, Ukraine, and Albania, as representatives from other groups, will also experience the same fate.

Portugal beats Armenia

Portugal successfully qualified for the 2026 World Cup from Group F after beating Armenia 9-1.

Portugal, who needed a win in this match, appeared very dominant throughout the match even without their captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, due to an accumulation of cards.

Bruno Fernandes and Joao Neves were the stars of the match, scoring hat-tricks.

Three goals from Joao Neves were scored in the 30th, 41st, and 81st minutes, and Bruno Fernandes in the 45+3rd (pen), 51', and 72' (pen) minutes.

Meanwhile, three other goals were scored by Renato Veiga (7'), Goncalo Ramos (28'), and Francisco Conceicao (90+2').

Norway Comeback at San Siro

Norway qualified for the 2026 World Cup after defeating Italy in their final Group I match with a convincing 4-1 score.

Visiting the San Siro, Norway was behind 0-1 to Italy in the first half through Pio Esposito's goal (11').

However, Norway surprisingly managed to make a comeback in the second half through four goals from Antonio Nusa (63'), Erling Haaland (78', 79'), and Jorgen Strand Larsen (90+3').

This victory means Norway is finally back in the World Cup after a 28-year absence, the last time being in 1998.

Meanwhile, Italy must fight in the playoffs to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
