"We are talking about bilateral security guarantees between Ukraine and USA, i.e. guarantees similar to Article 5 of NATO, as well as security guarantees for us from our European partners and other countries such as Canada, Japan and others," said Zelensky, reports the Financial Times.

He said he has yet to hear back from the White House regarding the proposed revised plan to end the war, which was put together by Ukrainian and European leaders.

That plan of 20 points also includes territorial concessions to Russia.

Special US envoy Steve Witkoff and son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, Jared Kushner, arrived earlier today in Berlin as part of the US delegation for negotiations on the Ukrainian peace process.

Sources from the German government told Bild that talks with representatives of Ukraine in Berlin will last two days, and that preliminary talks will be held today with foreign policy advisors, including with representatives of the US and Ukraine.

The meeting between German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled for tomorrow evening, when the heads of state and government of European countries, as well as high officials of the European Union and NATO, will arrive in Berlin.
