The meeting lasted almost five hours and there is still not much information, but in the video released by the Kremlin, at the beginning of the conversation, Putin, Vitkoff and Kushner exchanged kind words, with the Russian president, through an interpreter, telling the American envoys that he was"very glad to see them" and asked them about their walk in Moscow.

Witkoff replied that it was a"beautiful walk" and a "magnificent city". The Russian president thanked him and praised the work of local Moscow authorities in recent years on the development of the Russian capital.

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that there is no time limit for the talks and that they will last"as long as necessary".

This is the sixth visit of Vitkoff to Moscow. It is expected that during the meeting, Vitkoff will convey to Putin the results of the talks between Washington and Kiev.

The RIA news agency reported that Vitkoff went to the US Embassy in Moscow after the meeting.

Yesterday, together with Kushner and Secretary of State Marco Rubio , he spoke with the Ukrainian delegation, which was headed by Secretary of the Security Council of that country Rustem Umerov, who replaced Andrii Yermak, the former chief of staff of the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy, who resigned earlier.

As reported by the American portal Axios, it is expected that after the meeting, Vitkoff and Kushner will travel to a European country where they will meet with Zelensky. That meeting was announced for Wednesday.

Today, Zelensky is on an official visit to the Republic of Ireland, where he met with Prime Minister Michael Martin. He stated that they are waiting for signals from the American side after the meeting in the Kremlin, and that Ukraine will direct its next actions accordingly.

He also announced that Ukraine accepted the revised version of the American peace plan, which has 20 points instead of 28, and whose three key points are the territorial issue, frozen Russian assets and security guarantees of the US and Europe to Ukraine.
