The effectiveness of destroying enemy drones by interceptor drones currently reaches 68%, and this figure will increase in the future.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an interview with Fox News, Ukrinform reports.

These drones (interceptors – ed.) are the cheapest way to destroy Iranian drones, Shahed. By the way, everyone in Europe recognizes this, as well as in the United States. We have several companies that have begun to mass-produce them. Now the destruction rate is 68%. That is, 68% of successful destruction, and this efficiency will grow, - the President said.

According to him, the issue now is proper financing of the production of such drones.

"One such interceptor costs approximately $3,000 to $5,000," Zelensky noted, adding that the cost of one Shahed could reach $150,000.

The problem is that we need thousands of interceptors, the head of state emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal informed that Ukrainian manufacturers of interceptor drones received four state contracts worth more than UAH 3 billion.
