President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting US peace plan for Ukraine , stated that the Ukrainian authorities will not make harsh statements and are committed to clear, honest work.

"Today I had a meeting with representatives of the United States. A significant delegation and a very serious conversation. The American side presented its proposals - points of the plan to end the war - their vision. Since the first days of the war, we have taken one, extremely simple position: Ukraine needs peace. And a real peace - one that will not be broken by a third invasion. A worthy peace - so that the conditions are with respect for our independence, our sovereignty, and the dignity of the Ukrainian people," - wrote he.

According to him, these are the conditions that must be ensured.

"I outlined what is fundamentally important to us. And we agreed that the teams will work on these proposals - so that it is real. We will not make harsh statements and are committed to clear, honest work - Ukraine, the United States and our friends and partners in Europe and the world," Zelensky added.

He recalled that there have been many conversations with European leaders these days.

"I expect to speak with President Trump in the coming days. We are aware that America's strength and America's support can bring peace closer in reality, and we do not want to lose that. We also understand that Russia has no real desire for peace, otherwise they would not have started this war. There are many assessments - quite fair - that Russia has been trying to do only one thing this whole year, namely: postpone sanctions and buy more time for war," the president explained.

In his opinion, America can make Russia's determination to end the war finally become serious:

"I will continue to work 100 percent for this - all my time is dedicated to this right now. Ukraine needs peace, and Ukraine will do everything so that no one in the world says that we are disrupting diplomacy. This is important."
