Trump's Comments on Gaza War and Netanyahu

Rubio's Position on West Bank Annexation and Gaza Plan

US President Donald Trump said in an interview with TIME magazine that if Israel annexes the West Bank all support for Tel Aviv will be cut off.

'THEY WILL LOSE US'

"If they annex the West Bank, they will lose us. That will not happen, it will not happen. I promised the Arab countries, we have great support from them," Trump said.

'IT WAS A MISTAKE TO STRIKE QATAR'

The US President said,"Israel's attack on Qatar was a mistake. I had to stop Netanyahu, if I hadn't stopped him, the world would have stopped him."

'I WILL GO TO GAZA'

When asked if he would visit Gaza, Trump said,"I will go. As you know, there will be a Peace Board there. I was asked to be the chairman there. Believe me, it wasn't something I wanted to do, but the Peace Board will be a very powerful group and will have a lot of power in terms of the Middle East."

The bill, which would annex illegal Jewish settlements seized from Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank, was approved by a majority vote in the Israeli Parliament on Wednesday. Twenty-four of the MPs present voted"no" and 25 voted "yes." The bill must pass three more parliamentary votes before it becomes law.

'NETANYAHU WILL NOT SUPPORT THE GOVERNMENT'

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has stated that the government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not support the draft law in Parliament on the annexation of the occupied West Bank.

Following Trump's remarks, Israeli far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said,"We have great respect for Trump, but Israel is a sovereign and independent state. Our members of parliament vote according to their own discretion."

US Vice President Vance said it was insulting and "foolish" that the West Bank annexation bill passed a preliminary vote in Parliament while he was in Israel. Vance stated that the Trump administration's policy was against it and that they would continue to do so.

ISRAEL PRIME MINISTRY: IT WAS A DELIBERATE PROVOCATION

The Israeli Prime Ministry responded to Vance's statements in a social media post, saying,"The annexation vote in Parliament was a deliberate political provocation by the opposition to create discord during US Vice President J.D. Vance's visit to Israel. Both bills were supported by opposition members."

INSTRUCTIONS FROM NETANYAHU

Following reactions from the US administration, Netanyahu reportedly instructed the coalition government not to advance the draft law on the annexation of the occupied West Bank until further notice.

THERE ARE MORE THAN 4 MILLION PALESTINIANS IN THE WEST BANK

More than 4 million Palestinians live under Tel Aviv's"military rule" in the West Bank, which Israel occupied in 1967. Meanwhile, some 600,000 Israelis reside under the country's laws in more than 250 Jewish settlements built by Israel on land seized from Palestinians in land it occupied in violation of international law.

Palestinians, on the other hand, are trying to survive under harsh conditions where their lands and agricultural lands are being usurped by fanatic Jews and attacks by fanatic groups protected by the Israeli army and soldiers are increasingly taking place.
