The White House unveiled the agreement signed in Egypt Monday morning to achieve peace in the Middle East, calling it the"Trump Peace Deal."

The declaration, signed by US President Donald Trump along with regional leaders Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, welcomes what it calls a “truly historic commitment” by all parties to implement the agreement.

The document emphasizes a commitment to ending more than two years of conflict and presents a vision for the region defined by “hope, security, and a shared vision of peace and prosperity,” but is short on details.

"We understand that a lasting peace will be one in which both Palestinians and Israelis can prosper with their fundamental human rights protected, their security guaranteed, and their dignity respected," the agreement states.

The agreement reaffirms the desire to resolve future disputes through diplomacy, rather than protracted conflict, and states: “This is a new chapter for the region.”

In the agreement, the signatories expressed their support for President Trump's"sincere efforts to end the war in Gaza and bring lasting peace to the Middle East." According to the text, all parties commit to implementing the agreement"in a manner that ensures peace, security, stability, and opportunity for all peoples of the region, including Palestinians and Israelis."

The document states that “lasting peace will be one in which both Palestinians and Israelis can prosper with their fundamental human rights protected, their security assured, and their dignity respected.” The leaders affirm that “meaningful progress emerges through cooperation and sustained dialogue,” and emphasize that “strengthening ties among nations and peoples serves the enduring interests of regional and global peace and stability.”

One of the points highlighted by the leaders is the recognition of"the profound historical and spiritual significance of this region for the faith communities whose roots are intertwined with the land," mentioning Christianity, Islam, and Judaism among them. The agreement emphasizes that"respect for these sacred connections and the protection of their historic sites must remain central to our commitment to peaceful coexistence."

The signatories expressed their unity in their “determination to dismantle extremism and radicalization in all their forms,” noting that “no society can thrive when violence and racism are normalized, or when radical ideologies threaten the fabric of civil life.” In this regard, they declared: “We commit to addressing the conditions that enable extremism and to promoting education, opportunity, and mutual respect as the foundations of lasting peace.”

The declaration makes clear the commitment to"resolve future disputes through diplomatic dialogue and negotiation, and not through force or protracted conflict." In this regard, the text emphasizes that"the Middle East cannot endure a persistent cycle of protracted war, stalled negotiations, or the piecemeal, incomplete, or selective implementation of agreed terms." The leaders note that "the tragedies witnessed over the past two years must serve as an urgent reminder that future generations deserve better than the failures of the past."

The agreement sets out the goal of “seeking tolerance, dignity, and equal opportunity for all people” and ensuring that “this region is a place where everyone can pursue their dreams in peace, security, and economic prosperity, regardless of race, faith, or ethnicity.” The signatories pledge to pursue “a comprehensive vision of peace, security, and shared prosperity in the region, based on the principles of mutual respect and shared destiny.”

Finally, the declaration welcomes"the progress made in establishing lasting and comprehensive peace agreements in the Gaza Strip, as well as a friendly and mutually beneficial relationship between Israel and its regional neighbors." The leaders pledge to "work collectively to implement and sustain this legacy, building institutional foundations upon which future generations can prosper together in peace."
