Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi called on Islamic countries to take action against Israel, stressing Iran's inherent right to defend itself against foreign aggression.
Tasnim News Agency reported that the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, expressed his deep concern over Israel's attacks on Iran in a phone call with the Iranian Foreign Minister.
Taha strongly condemned this military aggression, saying,"We will seek international support against this blatant violation of international law through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and in cooperation with the United Nations, in order to prevent the alarming spread of tension and insecurity in the region."
In this phone call, the Iranian Foreign Minister appreciated the Secretary-General's sympathy and condemnation of the criminal act committed by the Israeli occupation.
He called for collective action by Islamic countries to confront the Zionist entity's increasing violations of international law against countries in the region, noting the Iranian armed forces' determination to defend Iranian territory until the aggression ceases.
He added:"The blatant violation of international law and the UN Charter, the clear threat to regional and international security and stability posed by the illegitimate Israeli entity, the attempted murder of citizens and university professors, and the attack on Iranian nuclear facilities have once again proven that the entity's impunity only encourages it to commit further crimes and aggression."
